Paladin Beginner Leveling Build Guide

About

This guide outlines the Celestial Hammer Paladin, a highly defensive "Arbiter" build. The strategy focuses on using Blessed Hammers that orbit your character while you rotate powerful Auras to maintain near-permanent damage reduction and holy empowerment. The Celestial Hammer Paladin is a "walking fortress" build. By utilizing the Disciple Oath, you transform into an angelic Arbiter, gaining massive combat bonuses. This build relies on the Disciple's Halo modification for Blessed Hammer, which causes your hammers to orbit you like a protective whirlwind as you move through enemies. It is designed to be extremely durable, making it an ideal choice for safely pushing into higher Season Ranks.
Gameplay Loop
The combat rhythm revolves around maintaining your Oaths and Auras:
Initiate: Activate your Auras (Fanaticism, Defiance, and Holy Light) to prime your defenses and resource generation.
Transform: Use your Disciple skills to enter Arbiter Form. While transformed, your damage is significantly increased, and you gain access to Wing Strikes.
Assault: Spam Blessed Hammer. With the Disciple's Halo node, these hammers will circle you, allowing you to deal damage simply by walking near enemies.
Control: Cast Consecration to create Hallowed Ground, granting you massive health regeneration and damage reduction while standing within the circle.
Execute: If surrounded, trigger Fortress to create an immune "Barricade" arena, protecting you from all incoming projectiles while your hammers finish off the pack.
What is this build for?
This build walks you through a basic skilltree build from Basic skills to your Key passive, setting you up for a simple structured build you can use to experience the game as a new player to the Paladin. This build can be enhanced further and can be played all the way to max level, however, the idea of the build is to help introduce players to the fundamental playstyle for the Paladin class. Once you reach the end of this build, you will be able to move towards any of our Paladin Endgame build guides with the a solid amount of resources and hopefully gear drops to move towards max level.

Additional information
The only issue with Paladin in the beginning is the lack of Codex dungeons that benefit Paladins; they are too generic for much of an investment.
Angelic Masterwork - Grants a massive boost to All Resistances while in Arbiter form.
Ascension - Ramps up your damage for every second you maintain your Arbiter transformation.
Tyrael’s Jurisdiction & Lagera's Sovereignty - Enhances Wing Strikes to seek out enemies and provides a flat damage multiplier for all Disciple skills.
As for any helpful uniques, equip the ones below as soon as you find them.
Heralds Morningstar, Cathedrals Song, Argent Veil
Skill Tree and Talisman

Nightmare Dungeons
What is it?
Standard dungeons modified by Nightmare Sigils to be more difficult. They feature specific "Affixes" (buffs for enemies or debuffs for you).
How to use for leveling: Use these from Level 60+ once you enter Torment difficulties.
Strategy: While Helltides are better for raw character levels, NMDs are mandatory for leveling Paragon Glyphs. A character at level 100 with level 1 Glyphs is significantly weaker than one with level 21 Glyphs.
Efficiency: Only run dungeons where the enemies are at least 10 levels higher than you to maximize the XP bonus.
