This guide outlines the Freezing Volley Rogue, a high-mobility leveling build that excels at screen-wide crowd control. The strategy focuses on slowing and freezing enemies with cold-infused arrows before shattering them with massive area-of-effect damage. This build is a perfect entry point for the Rogue, emphasizing the "Archer" archetype. By combining Caltrops and Cold Imbuement, you turn the battlefield into an icy death trap. The build relies on high attack speed and critical strikes to reset your powerful Ultimate, Rain of Arrows, ensuring you always have a "panic button" for large packs of elites.

Gameplay Loop

The synergy of this build focuses on positioning and "kiting" enemies into your traps:

• Initiate: Drop Caltrops to leap backward and create a slowing field. This keeps enemies at the ideal range for your bow.

• Control: Throw a Smoke Grenade into the thickest part of the pack to Daze enemies, preventing them from attacking while you set up your burst.

• Imbue: Activate Cold Imbuement to prime your next two attacks with freezing power.

• Execute: Spam Barrage. At close-to-mid range, the arrows ricochet between targets, quickly stacking the Frozen status and shattering high-health enemies.

• Generate: Use Heartseeker between Barrage casts to keep your Energy high and increase your critical strike chance against targets.

• Ultimate: Trigger Rain of Arrows whenever you are surrounded or facing a Boss to clear the screen with a massive volley of elemental damage.

This build walks you through a basic skilltree build from Basic skills to your Key passive, setting you up for a simple structured build you can use to experience the game as a new player to the Rogue. This build can be enhanced further and can be played all the way to max level, however, the idea of the build is to help introduce players to the fundamental playstyle for the Rogue class.
