This guide is based on the Forge Guard Warpath build for Last Epoch, specifically designed for smooth leveling and early endgame progression by leveraging both your own attacks and summoned Forge Weapons.

Traditionally, Forge Guard is considered a slower leveling mastery compared to Paladin or Void Knight. However, this build focuses on Warpath as a "one-button" main skill that automates the summoning of Forge Weapons. By using Warpath to trigger Forge Strike's tree, you maintain a mobile playstyle while a small army of floating swords and a Manifest Armor companion clear the screen for you. It transitions smoothly from the early campaign into low-to-mid corruption monoliths.

Gameplay Rotation

The build revolves around maintaining your mana while spinning to win.

  1. Main Loop: Hold down Warpath to move through packs. As you spin, the Forge Master Stance node will automatically summon Forge Weapons every few seconds.

  2. Minion Buffing: Use Void Cleave periodically. This is your primary "support" strike. Hitting your Forge Weapons and Manifest Armor with Void Cleave applies the Molten Infusion buff, significantly increasing their damage for 6 seconds.

  3. Damage Burst: Every 4 seconds, throw your Shield Throw. If you have points in the Colossus node, this grants you 40% physical penetration, which applies to your Warpath damage.

  4. Traversal: Use Lunge to jump between packs or out of danger.

  5. Passive Tanking: Your Manifest Armor acts as a secondary tank and damage dealer, following you automatically while benefiting from your gear stats.

Recommended Uniques

While the build works with rare items, these uniques provide massive power spikes:

  • Evolution's End: A fantastic two-handed sword for leveling.

  • Phantom Grip: Provides excellent stats for your Forge Weapons.

  • Falcon Fist: Highly recommended for boosting minion performance, as your Forge Weapons gain the stats of your gloves.

  • Bleeding Heart: A great early-game amulet (requires level 4) that provides vital global damage leech to keep you healthy while spinning.
