Flame Whip Warlock Endgame Build Guide

Flame Whip Warlock Endgame Build Guide

Last Updated: Mar 26, 2026 by Pixel Aptitude

About

Pixel Aptitude's Flame Whip Warlock is an incredible build that has taken several seasons of changes and testing to find a pathway to perfection.

The build is built around the Spine of Malatros unique sword, which causes the Chthonic Fissure skill to spawn Flame Whips instead of spirits. While the skill was weak in Season 1, massive buffs in Season 2 made it a viable powerhouse for high-corruption endgame content. With even more added to the build for Season 3, this build is a fantastic choice for pushing over 1,000 corruption.

Gameplay Loop

  1. Open with casting Chthonic Fissure to open the earth and begin spawning the primary damage source, the Flame Whips.

  2. Use Chaos Bolts and other spells to inflict Acid Skin and Fire Shred, making enemies vulnerable to massive critical hits.

  3. Instead of frantic spamming, the loop relies on a rhythm where you direct the fissures and let the auto-targeting whips clear the screen.

  4. Maintain the "Overload" buffs through consistent casting to keep the damage at its peak.

The Endgame loot filter can be found here.
