About
This guide breaks down the Cold Sabertooth Beastmaster for Last Epoch, an endgame build capable of pushing 1,500+ corruption with insane damage numbers in the millions.
Introduction The core of this build is a Dexterity-stacking Cold Sabertooth. By converting the Sabertooth to Cold damage, you leverage the North Wind node to scale base damage and critical strike multiplier directly from your Dexterity.
A unique feature of this setup is the inclusion of a T-Rex companion via the Tyrant Skull helm, which acts as the Sabertooth’s best friend and further boosts performance. The build focuses on extreme skill level stacking, reaching up to +22 to Sabertooth, which allows you to unlock almost every high-impact node in its skill tree.
Gameplay Rotation
The gameplay is fast-paced and revolves around buffing your Sabertooth while repositioning yourself for safety.
Leap and Engage: Use your movement skill (usually a leap) to jump around the map. The Sabertooth typically one-shots regular mobs as you pass them.
Deploy Totems: Drop your Frenzy Totem to grant the Sabertooth a massive melee damage boost and enable it to double-cast its abilities. Use War Cry (converted to a totem) to pull enemies in, cleanse yourself, and grant the Sabertooth a 200% critical strike chance boost.
Maintain Buffs with Swipe: Frequently use Swipe to maintain Aspect of the Panther. This buff is essential because it applies to the Sabertooth, and its effects are doubled since you are dual-welding. Swipe also acts as your mana generator.
Automated Damage: The Sabertooth is specialized to automatically use Upheaval and Fury Swipes. As long as you keep your totems and aspects active, the pet handles the heavy lifting.
